He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Rothenberger and Katherine Rothenberger (Humes); his wife Grace Eileen Kreft of Natoma; his daughters, Marcia Mitchell and Marla Atteberry; his grandson Kyle Kempton; and his siblings, Gerald Rothenberger, Barbara Jo Rothenberger and Jeanette Henry.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Rothenberger (Deb) of Salina, Joyce Kuntzsch (Jim) of Dorrance, Danna Allison (Jeff) of Great Bend and Kerry E. Rothenberger (Becky Turley) of South Hutchinson; his brother Roland "Uncle Red" Rothenberger of Minnesota; and his close friend Lucille Blide of St. John. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
