He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Eugene, Sr. and Marjorie Etta Smith (Tustin); his brothers, Dr. Darrel, Robert and Stanley Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Tony McGee and Patti Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy Lee; his daughter Genia Hayes (Jimmy) of Ellinwood; his stepchildren, Melissa Leiker (Chad) of Great Bend, Chris Stephens (Heidi) of Kansas City and Travis Lee of Wichita; his granddaughter Nicole McKie (Adam); his family, Tristan, Reagan, Alexa, Breanna, Jaxton, Deja, Zaid (Stephanie), Ethan (Kennedy), Jacob and Adam; his great grandchildren, Noah, Cyrus, Parker, River, Willow and Weston; his sister Kathy Chavez of Avondale, Arizona; and his siblings-in-law, Mark Meyer (Elaine), Barbara Smith, Inge Smith, Mary McGee and Denise Thode. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (2701 24th St, Great Bend, KS 67530).
