He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hapes and Ila Hapes (Browning); his son Bob Hapes (Debbie); his brothers, Harold Hapes (Helen) and Leroy Hapes; his brother-in-law Ron Hake; and his grandchildren, Amiee Snow and Levi Hapes.
He is survived by: his son Jim Hapes (Kelly) of Great Bend; his sister Buena Hake of Smithville; and his sister-in-law Beverly Hapes of Chillicothe. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
