With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dona Jean Smith of Great Bend, Kansas, who passed away on May 6, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Palmer Deines and Caroline Deines (Massier); her grandson Cody Smith; her siblings, Donald Deines and Eleanor Swank; and her daughter-in-law Monika Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila DeWald (Bob) of Otis, Kan, Charles "Chuck" Smith (Pam) of Buhler, Robert "Bobby" Smith (Teresa) of Lyons and Kenny Smith (Marti) of Great Bend, Kan.; her grandchildren, Lesley Gaughan (Doug), Laura McCarter (Kevin), Stacy Volkman (Chad), Shadd Smith (Trina), Troy Smith (Alyssa), Melissa Smith, Tyler Smith and Shane Smith (Kit); and her sister-in-law Helen Deines of WaKeeney, Kan.. She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.
