With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bonnie Jean Schenkel of Great Bend, Kansas, born in Liberal, Kansas, who passed away on August 5, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Harding and Gladys Harding (Hibler); her husband John J. "Jack" Schenkel; her daughter Teresa Marie; and her siblings, Robert Harding, Louise Schupman, Phyllis Bromwell, Joy Elmore and Carole Lightle.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Bruner of Great Bend, Kansas, Steven Schenkel of Great Bend, Kansas, Brenda Walton (Dirk Becker) of Great Bend, Kansas and Phyllis Schenkel of Great Bend, Kansas; her sister Rose Hopewell of Halstead, Kansas; and her pets, Polly and Daphne. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
