It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin J. Shaffer (Great Bend, Kansas), who passed away on December 12, 2019, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Arthur and Hattie Shaffer (Phinney); his wife Florence L. Shaffer; and his siblings, Bill, Cal, Georgia, Lois, Helen, Florence and Sarah.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Shaffer (Donna) of Great Bend, Tom Shaffer (Sue) of Wichita, Dan Shaffer of St. John, Linda Elliott (Thomas) of McPherson, Patsy Giangrosso (Charli) of Blue Springs, MO, Treva Goodman (Allen) of Hays, Cathy Shaffer of Hays, Laurie Logan (Buddy) of Clay Center and Sharon Denney (Joe) of Great Bend; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Shaffer of Ottawa. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.
