He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Boxberger and Pauline Boxberger (Mai); and his siblings, Vernon, Doris Blank, Florence Ernest, Frances Huffman and Norma Schwein.

He is survived by: his wife Valeria "Vicki" Siedl; his son Randy Boxberger (Cherie) of Houston, Texas; his brothers, Dennis Boxberger of Otis and Kenneth Boxberger of Salina; and his grandchildren, Megan Boxberger and Erin Boxberger.
