We bid farewell to Antonina Chavez Sotelo of Great Bend, Kansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 18, 2024 at the age of 84. Antonina Chavez touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Favian Chavez and Petra Chavez (Sotelo); her husband Rumaldo Garcia; her son Marcos Garcia; and her sisters, Adelina, Elvira, Rosa, Amada and Irene Chavez.
She is survived by: her children, Marcelo Garcia of Great Bend, Jose Garcia of Chihuahua, Mexico, Elma Garcia of El Paso, Dora Garcia of Zacatecas, Soledad Garcia of Chihuahua, Maricela Garcia of Great Bend, Susana Garcia of Monterrey, N. L., Claudia Garcia of Great Bend and Lizeth Garcia of Chihuahua, Mexico; and her siblings, Angel Chavez of Chihuahua, Angelita Chavez of Chihuahua, Mexico. and Magdalena Chavez of Chihuahua, Mexico.. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at Prince of Peace Parish in Great Bend.
