He was predeceased by: his parents, Archibald Newkirk and Virginia Newkirk (Conkright); his wives, Dolores Wyman Newkirk and Connie Banion Newkirk (Doub); and his siblings, James Newkirk and Sarah Ross.
He is survived by: his children, Delane Newkirk (Teressa) of Lyons, Bruce Newkirk (Sharla) of Orange Park, Fla. and Stephannie Zorn (Gary) of Ellinwood; and his sister Maryanne Broyles of El Dorado. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-two great grandchildren.
