He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Helmick and Leota Helmick (Larson). He is survived by: his wife Florence Stockwell; his children, Pamela Runyan (Dan), Patricia Payne (Troy) and Gary L. Helmick; and his grandchildren, Steve Hester, Matthew Hester, Ryan Runyan, Lindsay Runyan, Megan Christopherson, Joshua Christopherson, Trevor Payne, Whitney Brown (Payne), Garry Helmick, Joel Snyder, Justin Snyder, Mya Helmick and Brody Helmick. He is also survived by 24 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to South Knollwood Baptist Church, and sent in care of Parker-Price Funeral Home.
