Robert D. Schmitt Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 25, 2022, at the age of 82, Robert D. Schmitt of Gorham, Kansas, born in Hays, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav A. Schmitt and Lydia Schmitt (Wagner); his son-in-law Randy Rohleder; and his brother-in-law Larry Walford. He is survived by: his wife Lyla L. Prater; his children, Virginia Rohleder of Gorham, Kristin Bay (Tony) of Russell, Kansas and Dale Schmitt (Nancy) of Russell, Kansas; his grandchildren, Colby Rohleder (Ashley), Sadee Soldan (Rex), Brandon Schmitt, Mason Schmitt, Kendra Bay, Tytin Bay, Alex Underwood and Seth Underwood; his great grandchildren, Colt, Owen Soldan, Otto and Tinzlee Rohleder; his sister-in-law Carol Walford; and his niece Stacy Waters (Paul).

A memorial has been established with the Gorham Senior Center.
