We bid farewell to Robert Oliver Beckner of Goodland, Kansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 26, 2025 at the age of 88. Robert Oliver touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Harvey and Martha Olive Beckner (Wilken); his grandson Robert Joseph Lawson; his brothers, Melvin and Leroy; his brother-in-law Emerson Charles Ballentine; and his half-siblings, Stanley, David, Velma and Carlotta.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Wayne (Joy) of Wichita, Kansas, Debra Kay (Bill Yeutter) of Norton, Kansas and Rodney Ray (Ann) of Lincoln, Nebraska; his wife Dorothy Elaine Watkins; his grandchildren, Heather, Charli, Brianna, Matthew and Tiffany; his great grandchildren, Delaney, Kinlee, Conner, Franklin and Madison; his stepgranddaughter Emma; and his half-siblings, Virginia Ballentine, Jeanette Vrbas, Jerry Beckner, Sam and Mike Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Koons-Russell Funeral Home - Goodland (211 N Main Ave, Goodland, KS 67735). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at the Brewster Cemetery (6500 Rd 37, Brewster, KS 67732).
Memorial contributions may be made out to the Norton Christian Church Awana Scholarship and may be left at the services or mailed to Koons-Russell Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Ave., Goodland, KS 67735.
