She was predeceased by: her parents, Fay Harris Sweany and Frances Bishop Sweany; and her husband Carroll Gunderson. She is survived by: her pet Marmalade; and her brothers, Charles Edward Sweany of Las Vegas, NV and Thomas Michael Sweany of Livingston, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, as well as great grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Koons-Russell Funeral Home - Goodland (211 N Main Ave, Goodland, KS 67735). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at the Goodland Cemetery (510 N Main Ave, Goodland, KS 67735).
In lieu of flowers, Martha has requested memorials may be made to the Northwest Kansas Animal Shelter to support their efforts in caring for animals and may be left at the services or mailed to Koons-Russell Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Ave., Goodland, KS 67735.
