He is survived by: his friend Henry Freed; his wife Irene Gilliland; his sister Shirley Strang of Davenport, Iowa; his children, Lana Lonseth (Grant) of Lethbridge, Alberta, Doyle Smith of Salem, Scott Smith (Karen) of Seneca and Sondra Shelbourn (Marvin) of Commerce City, Colorado; his stepchildren, Kim Nation of Salina Kansas, Karla Thompson (Christopher) of Salina and Clayton Gilliland (Shara) of Farmington Utah; his grandchildren, Erika, Matthew Lonseth, Sebastian Smith, Drake Shelbourn, Katie Workman, Shane Shelbourn and Rachel Ramey; his stepgrandchildren, Derek Nation, Sophia, Margaux Thompson, Cole, Sydney and Skye Gilliland; and his great grandchildren, Leo, Miles Shelbourn, Bryson, Alayna, Jenika, Eliza Workman, Kaden, Hadley, Karter, Kolson Shelbourn, Charlotte and Mikayla Ramey.
