He was predeceased by: his parents, Vinton Applebee (Shorty) and Ida Applebee (Lundy); his brother Vinton Jr.; and his granddaughter Lisa Marie Dwyer. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Michels; his daughters, Glenda Dwyer (Dale) of Cheyenne Wells, DeAnn Hillmer (Marlin) of Goodland, KS and Susan Schmidt (Kevin) of Brewster, KS.; his grandchildren, James Dwyer (Sara), Hillary Dwyer (Tyson Frihauf), Tyler Hillmer (Andrea), Angela Townsend (Corbin), Ryan Hillmer, Jaden, Carson and Kamdyn Schmidt; and his stepgranddaughters, Sally Lahm (Matt) and Lori Rosales (Craig). He is also survived by nine great grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren.
