She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Pettijohn and Martha Pettijohn (Juhl); her husband John Simmering; her son David Simmering; and her siblings, Alvin, Wilbur, Robert, Dorothy Cowan, Joan Sipes and Betty Buxton.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Foos (Gary) and Daniel Simmering (Angie); her grandchildren, Laura (Curt), Debra (Levi), Dana, Jana, Scott, Bryan (Jen), Jason (Ashley), Jared and Jonathon (Ashlee); her great grandchildren, Haley, Dean, Brogan, Alysson (Dakotah), Ashley, Amy, Sarah (Dakota), Ayden, Jaxson, Briar and Sage; her great great grandchild Jason; her brother Conrad Pettijohn (Carol); and her sister-in-law Joy Pettijohn. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorial contributions may be given to the First Baptist Church, the VA Hospice of Wichita, or the Hospice of the Prairie.
