He was predeceased by: his parents, Vern Dale and Mary Ackerman (Montague); his sons, Jerry L. Ackerman and Brian Olds; and his siblings, Polly White and Eldon Ackerman.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Louise Olds; his children, Barbara L. Rice (Chris) of Goff, KS, Lavern D. Ackerman of Washington, KS, Lavon F. Ackerman, Loren J. Ackerman of Lincoln, NE and William D. Ackerman of Holton, KS; and his siblings, Fay Downy of Marysville, KS and Delbert Ackerman (Lois) of Netawaka, KS. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter.
