He was predeceased by: his wife Iris H Bantel; his sons, Randall D. Huerter and Michael G. Huerter; his grandchildren, James G. Huerter, Michelle B. Huerter and Stephanie A. Huerter; and his brothers, William and James.
He is survived by: his sons, Rick Huerter (Linda) of Seneca and Mark Huerter (Hannah) of Corning; and his brothers, Robert Huerter of Chanute, KS and Daniel Huerter of Bellevue, NE. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
