Bernice Winkel Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bernice Winkel of Glen Elder, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 12, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Corwin Griffis Sorrell and Clara Lois Nesmith Sorrell. She is survived by: her husband Cecil Winkel; her sisters, Annetta Ferguson, Bonnie Burnett and Betty Green (Larry); her children, Ray Winkel (Darlene Sporleder), Bill Winkel (Darnell), Glen Elder, Roxanne Unrein (Herb), Jennifer Bean (Mark), Julie Schoen (Stuart) and Angela Herndon (Shawn); her brother Bruce Sorrell; her daughter-in-law Ilene Winkel; and her great grandchildren, Hadley and Chase Thompson. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Good Shepherd Foundation in Manhattan.
