With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Zita Jean Bond of Girard, Kansas, born in Garden City, Kansas, who passed away on July 21, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle LeRoy and Mary Jo Tournade (Hayse); and her brothers, Larry Wayne Tournade and Ralph R. Tournade. She is survived by: her husband Carl Ray; her children, Vance Edward (Barbie Wright), Marvin Ray (Angie Bond), Kimberly Ann Worner of Amarillo, Karla Rae (Troy Thomas) and Keia Renee (Joe Mende); her brother Rusty; her sister-in-law Marla Tournade of Eudora, Kansas; and her sister Judy Powell of Meade, Kansas. She is also survived by several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The family would welcome memorials to the Plains Public Library in care of the funeral home.
