He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester L. Mason and Grace D. Mason (Haden); his brother-in-law Montee "Ray" McCollum; and his great grandchild Cooper Klepac. He is survived by: his wife Mary Kay Mason; his children, Dennis Mason (Shari) of Holden, Tammie Jameson (Scott Mayberry) of Girard, Joyce Mason, Peggy Walker (Jeff) of Girard, Steve Mason of Girard, Cindy Murphy (Jess) of Girard and Barbara Bailey (Judd) of Girard; his grandchildren, Kayla Nickle (C. T.), Tyler Jameson, Jessica Franklin (Logan), Amber Klepac, Brett Mason (Bailey), Jordan Jameson, Brittany Wells, Kennedy Walker (Alex Vohs), Kelci Murphy (Matthew Mix), Mason Wells, Brandon Walker (Kelsey), Denise Mason, Mitchell Murphy, Hanna Bailey, Graci Murphy, Jimmy Murphy and Trenton Mayberry (Kelsey); and his siblings, Lester Gene Mason (Charlotte) of Girard and Patsy McCollum of Camden.
