He is survived by : his wife Linda Jane Dantin; and his siblings, Ruth Cates- (Ted) of Missouri, George Steer Jr. (Rose Ann), Rita Campbell- of Nebraska, Laura Clement- (Terry) of Kansas, Sharron Blake- of Nebraska, Janice Koubek- (Lee) of Nebraska, Helen Hassebroek- (Ron) of Nebraska, Mark Steer- (Sara) of Nebraska, Gary Steer- (Lori) of Nebraska, Warren Steer, Alan Steer and Anna Gerdes. He is also survived by 8 children; numerous nieces & nephews; great nieces & nephews; great, great nieces & nephews.
John's request was to donate his body for anatomical study at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City and his cremains will be interred at a later date in the Fort Scott National Cemetery in Fort Scott, Kansas.
