He was predeceased by: his son Steven; and his sister Shirley Jacks. He is survived by: his parents, Arno Paarmann and Geneva Paarmann (Kerskamp); his son James Paarmann II; his wife Renée of Nevada; his daughters, Jeanine Feola, Thomas of Rosehill and Ramona Paarmann of Buckeye; his grandchildren, Aaron, Tara, Keagan, Samantha, Brianna, Vaden, Ellaria and Marianna; his great grandchildren, James, Dominic, Brett and Demetri; and his brother Michael Paarmann of California.
