He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Geier and Jessie Geier (O'Dell); his wife Charlotte Ann Shanholtzer; his son Steven Eugene Geier; and his siblings, Carolyn Faye Timi, Rosemary Elizabeth Geier and Don Geier.
He is survived by: his children, Joyce Lynn Taylor (Steven) of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Frederick Owen Geier, Jr. (Jan) of Farlington, Kenneth L. Geier (Kristi) of Girard and Jeffrey Dean Geier (Patty) of Girard; his daughter-in-law Susan Geier of Girard; and his sister Sharon Kay Herlocker (Ronnie) of Farlington. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; over 50 great-grandchildren.
Fred was a farmer and later he worked for Walters Foundation Company in Paola.
