She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Morris and Mabel Jeanette Whiteman (Cuthbertson); her husband Melvin Henry Von Soosten; her son Dean L. Von Soosten; her grandson Dustin L. Von Soosten; and her brothers, Morris, Melvin and James Whiteman.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Hope Von Soosten of Columbus and Jalen Von Soosten of Columbus; her brothers-in-law, Arnold Von Soosten (Helen) of Girard and Virgil Von Soosten (Cindy) of Temple, Texas; her nephews, Merle Whiteman (Irene), Gayle Whiteman and Mike Whiteman; and her niece Joyce Whiteman.
