It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Pretzer (Garnett, Kansas), who passed away on January 2, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Velma Pretzer to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilson Martin and Nannie Martin (Brubaker); her husband Earl Pretzer; her siblings, Harold Martin, Frank Martin, Lola Amend, Edgar Martin, George Martin and Edna Hazen; and her great grandchild Athena Shrader.
She is survived by: her children, Willis Pretzer (Vickie) of Warsaw, Glen Pretzer (Judy) of Kalamazoo, Carl Pretzer of Oklahoma City, Lee Ann Simon (Larry) of Galveston, Sue Shrader (Charlie) of Austin and Kevin Pretzer (Tracie) of Welda, Kansas; and her siblings, Kenneth Martin, Ella Thacker, Elsie Menefee, Marietta Martin and Sarah Hartpence. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
The family requests that everyone wear a face covering while attending the services and adhere to social distancing.
Memorial contributions may be made to the ARC Thrift Shop or to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
