He was predeceased by: his father Clark E. Schainost. He is survived by: his mother Christine Schainost (Hoffman) of Colony, Kansas; his wife Lois Schainost; his son Blake Schainost of Ellicott, Colorado; his stepsons, B. J. Schauman and Jay Schauman (Rachele) of Topeka, Kansas; his brothers, Mike Schainost (Jeanie) of Garnett, Kansas and Gary Schainost (Tracy) of Iola, Kansas; and his sister-in-law Marcia Cottrell (Dave) of Lyndon, Kansas. He is also survived by four nephews; and three nieces; and several friends.
