He was predeceased by: his father Roscoe Jones; his stepfather Frank Nobles; and his brother Sheldon Jones. He is survived by: his mother Beverly Jones Nobles (Teter) of Cumming, Georgia; his wife Maria Thompson Jones; his daughters, Jamie Whalen (Jeff Myers) of Eudora, Kansas, Alicia Jones (Tony Miller) of Garnett, Kansas, Angela Jones (Jose Velez) of Princeton, Kansas and April Jones (Joe) of Lawrence, Kansas; his grandchildren, Xzavior Thompson, Landon Sluka, Brandon Warner, Athena Jones, Carissa Jones, Gabe Stevens, Brayden Harper and Tatem Stevens; and his sisters, Lori Johnson of Cumming and Sherry Jones (Tim Wittman) of Garnett, Kansas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
