He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel M. Hiestand and Mildred L. Hiestand (Parks); his siblings, Ruby Ensley, Betty Adams and Bob Hiestand; and his son Leonard Hiestand.
He is survived by: his wife Freida Hiestand; his children, Linda Miller (Tarry) of Garnett, Roger Hiestand of Garnett, Glenda Colden (J. R.) of Kirk and Carol Hiestand of Garnett; his daughter-in-law Debbie Hiestand of Laramie, Wyoming; and his siblings, George Hiestand (Jan) of Arvada, Colorado and Judy Blubaugh (Roger) of Olathe, Kansas.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Welda Community Building and left in care of the funeral home.
