He was predeceased by: his parents, James Daniel and Elizabeth Burdett (Manly); his wife Carolyn Burdett; and his siblings, James Burdett and Betty Burdett.

He is survived by: his children, John P. Burdett (Tyra) of Olathe, Kansas, Mary Hunt (Garen) of Garnett, Kansas and Beth Vail (Marty) of Spring Hill, Kansas; and his brother Tom Burdett of Kansas City, Missouri.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice and left in care of the funeral home.
