He was predeceased by: his parents, Worth W. Waltermire and Jessie Waltermire (Johnson); his siblings, Jack H. Waltermire, Trula Finley and Treva Mears; his brothers-in-law, Don Mears, Jim Finley, Donald J. Lee and Duane Forbes; and his nieces, Sherri Mears and Brenda Forbes.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Kay Ostrander; his children, Stacy Gwin (Greg) of Garnett and Justin Waltermire (Rachel) of Chanute, Kansas; his grandchildren, Adrian Gwin, Emma Waltermire and Nathan Gwin; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Waltermire, Peggy Forbes and Emily Guentert (Richard).
