With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gladys Irene Young (Garnett, Kansas), who passed away on March 20, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Michael Dale; her siblings, Arvetta Weber, Harold and Wayne Hirt; her son-in-law Rick Aitken; and her friend Virginia Anderson.
She is survived by: her former husband Edwin "Sandy" Lankard; her husband Bob Young; her daughters, Marilyn Lankard of Olathe, Sandra Kueser (Dale) of Richmond, Katherine Austin (Tim) of Burlington and Connie Martin (Terry) of Alma, Kansas.; her grandchildren, Sarah Kueser (Scott Marker), Amy Harris (Ryan), Kelly Wrestler (Josh), Kelsey Lyon and Amanda Patterson (Christopher Selfridge); her stepgrandchildren, Kristin Martin, Ashley Mullins (Matt) and Hannah Austin; her great grandchildren, Kahlan Harris, Aiden Harris, Trey Sommer, Tucker Wrestler, Hudson Wrestler and Harlow Wrestler; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Jasper Malyn, Crew Mullins and Jaimi Marker (Lucky); and her great great grandchild Lenox Moungvong. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In honor of Gladys' memory, the family has suggested memorial contributions to the First Christian Church, Good Shepard Hospice or Parkview Heights.
