He was predeceased by: his father Gerald Welsh; and his close friend Peggy Benjamin. He is survived by: his mother LaNelle Welsh (DePoe) of Selma, Kansas; his children, Laury Hunsaker of Moran, Amber Welsh of Enid and Michael Welsh of Garnett; and his siblings, Daniel Welsh (Carla) of McGregor, Lester Welsh (Debbie) of Garnett, Kansas, Christena McGhee (Kendall) of Neosho Falls, Pamela Yoder (Andy) of Garnett and Beth Davis. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to W.I.N.G.S. or Kincaid Selma United Methodist Church and left in care of the funeral home.
