He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel D. Lile and Hazel Marie Lile (Fort); his son Nathan Ray Lile; his parents-in-law, Joe and Lizzie Ray; his sister Connie Ray (Ivan); and his nephew Jason Furnish.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Jo Ray; his nephew Tracy Ray; his niece Michelle Ray; and his great-niece Mikayla Furnish.
