He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle E. Hertzler and Geraldine "Gerry" Hertzler (Dolisi). He is survived by: his wife Eileen Ashworth; his daughters, Kathy Hertzler of Gardner, KS and Peggy (Chris Coffman) of Gardner, KS; his granddaughter Danielle Hertzler; his stepgranddaughter Carli Coffman; and his siblings-in-law, Calvin, Prentice, Sonny, Lynn, Marvin Ashworth, Nina June Howard, Wanda Butler and Sharon Woodard. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the New Life Community Church-New Building Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
