It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtle Irene Bones of Gardner, Kansas, born in Ottawa, Kansas, who passed away on December 6, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Albert and Rozella Hope Schmoe (McCann); her husband Lester LeRoy Bones August; her son Keith Bones; and her siblings, Homer Schmoe, Donnie Nichols, Dorothy Gilpin, Floyd Schmoe and Mollie Lee.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Bones (Gayle) of Gardner, Jeanette Matney of Gardner and Mary Guyll (Fred) of Independence, Missouri; her siblings, Gladys Butter of Ottawa, Hazel Guyett of Ottawa, George Schmoe of Ottawa, Jean Jones of Ottawa, Janette Millbern of Richmond, Virgie Sink of Ottawa, Merlin Schmoe of Baldwin, Dale Schmoe of Ottawa and Audra Detwiler of Richmond; and her daughter-in-law Cindy Bones of Spring Hill. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
