He was predeceased by: his parents, John Franklin Husted, Sr. and Viva Gertrude Husted (McDaniel); his wife Sandra Castor; his daughter Malea; and his siblings, Clifford Husted and Lorene E. Alexander.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Layne, Ellie, Evan, Kyle and Mariah; his great grandchild Oakleigh; his foster daughter Skye Starner; his son-in-law Milton Lutz (Carol); his brother-in-law Bill Castor (Therese); his nephews, Carl Bickham and Ronald Husted; and his niece Christa Kellogg.

Memorial contributions may be made to Antioch Baptist Church Youth Group.
