She was predeceased by: her parents, James William and Dorothy Ozell Littrell (Gilpin); her husband Laine Smethers; and her siblings, Lee Littrell, Charles Littrell (Florence), Bobby Geane Smith and Nalda Jean.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Smethers (Robin) of Gardner, Kansas, Gary Smethers (Theresa) of Gardner, Kansas, Anita Watters (Paul) of Gardner, Kansas and Vicky Downey (Dave) of Gardner, Kansas; and her sister Wynonna McQuay. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
