He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Joseph and Josephine Veronica Keiter (Konecny); and his siblings, Bernard Joseph Keiter, Josephine Veronica Keiter, Clement Keiter (Clem), Edmond Keiter (Ed), Rosella Wolf (Sally), Juliana Landwehr (Julie) and Vincent Keiter (Vince).

He is survived by: his children, Kenneth B. Keiter (Liz) of Eudora, KS, Gerald B. Keiter (Christine) of Overland Park, KS, David F. Keiter of Overland Park, KS, Kathleen A. Smith of Osawatomie, KS, Cynthia M. Paparella (Michael) of Brighton, MI and Michael J. Keiter (Jamie) of Ottawa, KS; his wife Barbara Keiter; and his sisters, Bernetta Lebrick (Bert) of Manitowoc, WI, Thelma Traffas (Tez) and Marjorie Blubaugh (Marge).
