It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Arvelda Pearl Smith of Gardner, Kansas, who passed away on December 2, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Peter and Pearl Dorothy Calder (Gnase); her husband Jay Arnold Smith; and her brothers, William Earl Calder and Eldon Eugene Calder.

She is survived by: her children, Gail Slavens, Phyllis Bailey (Bob) and Brad Smith (Anita). She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gardner Friends Church, Gardner, Kansas.
