He was predeceased by: his father Robert Maze; and his grandmother Julia Ruth Kitt. He is survived by: his mother Marlene Kirkland (Thomas); his sons, Bobby Maze (Ruby), Timothy Maze and J. D. Baxter; his siblings, Diane Rash, Susan Jacobs (Kurt), Cindy Maze and Robert Maze; and his grandsons, Trenton and Tommy Maze. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
