He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Joseph and Emma Brungardt (Wasinger); his wife Betty Jean Brungardt; his siblings, Norbert Quint, Rich Quint, Raymond Quint, Herman Quint, Glibert Brungardt, Robert Brungardt, Isabel Brungardt (Quint), Sister Alverita Brungardt and Sister Bertilla Brungardt; his son Kevin Brungardt; and his granddaughter Keisha Wright.
He is survived by: his former spouse Shirley Mader; his children, Karen Reinertson (Randy) of Elwood, Karl Brungardt of Wichita, Kyle Brungardt (Susan Miller) of Garden City and Karol Brungardt of Cozad, Nebraska.; his stepchildren, Preston Martin (Toni) of Garden City and Shelly Cott (Mike) of Springhill, Kansas; and his sister Shirley Richmeier. He is also survived by his children, step-children, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary Catholic Church or The Dominican Sisters of Peace both in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
