He was predeceased by: his parents, V. T. Huelskamp and Olive Huelskamp (Dilts); his wife Vivian Crook; his brothers, Paul Huelskamp and Don Huelskamp; his son-in-law Larry Bates, Sr.; and his grandson Damien Huelskamp.
He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Reyes (Keith) of Elm Grove, Vicky Vallejo (Jeff) of Olathe, Melanie Stapleton (Alex) of Minneola, Kansas and Kurt Huelskamp (Rose) of Garden City, Kansas; his brother C. Vincent Huelskamp (Katherine) of Rio Rancho; his siblings-in-law, Rhonda Magnison (Randy) of Holton, Kansas and Stanley Jackson of Satanta, Kansas; and his grandchildren, Jared Huelskamp (Loretta), Tessie Escarcega (Ciro), Mary Heady (Lamontae), Paul Simon (Jacque), Denise Cocking (Michael), Dominique Budd, Antionne Budd, Tyler Stapleton, Joshua Stapleton (Jessie) and Makana Medeiros. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Garnand Funeral Home (412 N 7th St, Garden City, KS 67846). A rosary was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (510 N 12th St, Garden City, KS 67846).
