He was predeceased by: his daughters, Maria Lorenza Chariez Cordova and Jasmin Chairez Cordova; his parents, Abelardo Chairez Rangel and Maria Cruz Fernandez; and his brothers, Abelardo Chairez Fernandez, Mario Manuel Chairez Fernandez, Aurelio Chairez Fernandez and Armando Chairez Fernandez.
He is survived by: his wife Silvia Chairez; his grandchildren, Isaid Lopez-Chairez, Ismael Lopez-Chairez, Adriana Lopez-Chariez and Sergio Lopez-Chairez; his great grandchildren, Javier Lopez, Ava Lopez, Lorely Arroyo-Lopez, Mathias Mancillas and Khalani Lopez; and his siblings, Mauricio Chairez Fernandez, Maria Chairez Fernandez, Ana Luisa Chairez Fernandez, Esperanza Chairez Fernandez, Juan Chairez Fernandez, Enrique Chairez Fernandez, Luz Marcella Chairez Fernandez and Refugio Chairez Fernandez. He is also survived by numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Garnand Funeral Home (412 N 7th St, Garden City, KS 67846).
The family suggests memorials to the Rafael Chairez Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
