He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfonso Alva and Maria Alva (Perez); and his granddaughter Teresa Sanchez. He is survived by: his wife Maria G. Alva; his children, Jose Alva (Martha), Roberto Alva (Estela), Angel Alva (Patricia), Maria Guadalupe Alva (Martin), Sergio Alva (Marisol) and Silvia Alva (Rodney); and his siblings, Clemente Alva, Sipriana Alva, Manuel Alva, Natividad Alva, Angel Alva, Virgina Alva, Guadalupe Alva and Socorro Alva. He is also survived by 31 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren.
