He was predeceased by: his parents, Valentine Hernandez and Guadalupe Hernandez (Mosquedo); and his siblings, Angela Ledesma, Valentine Hernandez, Adeline Arellano, Abelardo Hernandez, Maria Searles and Juan Hernandez.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Hernandez; his children, Andromeda "Andi" Schimke (Kent), Cuauhtemoc "Cuauhty" Hernandez (Zuilma) and Tomas Hernandez (Lela); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Sumption (Zach), Kennedy Schimke, Kade Schimke, Joshua Hernandez, Isaiah Hernandez (Anahi), Eden Hernandez, Samuel Hernandez, Noah Hernandez, Abigail Hernandez, Leah Hernandez, Elisa Hernandez, Isaac Hernandez and Evelyn Hernandez; his great grandchild Luna Hernandez; and his siblings, Ladislado Hernandez (Ladi), Susanna Rodriguez, Nickolasa Guerrero, Steven Hernandez, Jesus Hernandez and Rosa Monroy.
Viewing was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Robson Funeral Home of Garden City (620 N Main St, Garden City, KS 67846). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Anthony's Catholic Church (600 Soderberg St, Lakin, KS 67860). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church (600 Soderberg St, Lakin, KS 67860). A burial was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Deerfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has established the Natividad Hernandez Memorial Fund. Contributions can be made by writing checks payable to Irene Hernandez and mailing them to Robson Funeral Home, 620 N. Main Street, Garden City, Kansas 67846.
