Though Glenda Kay may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Glenda Kay touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Kenneth and Margueritte Lucille Dowling (Simmons); and her brothers, Edward and Ronnie. She is survived by: her children, Leanne Underwood of Garden City, KS, Janet Orrell of Florissant, CO, Brett Nelson of Garden City, KS and Bill Nelson (Jackie) of Abilene, KS.. She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Robson Funeral Home - Garden City (620 N Main St, Garden City, KS 67846). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the First Christian Church (306 N 7th St, Garden City, KS 67846). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Copeland Cemetery.
