In loving memory of Melba JoAnn Watson of Galena, Kansas, who departed this world on January 5, 2025 at the age of 88. Melba JoAnn leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Delmer Battin and Leona Battin (Shafer); her husband LeRoy Watson; her daughter Vicki Watson; her granddaughter Katrina Watson; and her siblings, Jimmy, Wayne Battin, Phyllis Bender, Joyce Wilson, Billie Vaugn, Mertle Lawrence and Cecille England.
She is survived by: her children, Frank Watson (Renee) of Neosho, Kevin Watson (Jodi), Kathy Holden of Galena and Tammy Campbell (Jay) of Joplin; and her sisters, Helen Gimlen of Carl Junction and Hope Triplett of Joplin. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Parker Chapel (1502 S Joplin Ave, Joplin, MO 64804).
