It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mark Alan Whitwell (Galena, Kansas), born in Miami, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 17, 2024, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Clarence, Edith Bacon of Quapaw, OK, Benjamin and Marie Whitwell of Crockett, TX.. He is survived by: his parents, Bill Whitwell and Shirley Whitwell (Bacon) of Joplin, MO; his parents-in-law, Ron and Debra Owen of Galena, KS; and his brothers-in-law, Jason (Crystal Owen), Joshua (Abigail), Adam (Angela Owen), Clayton and Cameron of Nixa, MO.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
