She was predeceased by: her father Terrill Ward; her sister Dianna Green; and her niece Megan Mallatt. She is survived by: her husband Steve Thompson; her children, Dr. Kyle Thompson (Kammi) of Nixa, MO and Kalyn Thompson (Tori Tyler) of Joplin, MO; her grandson Kannon Thompson; her mother Lois Ward of Galena; and her siblings, Kelvin Ward (Cindy) of Galena, Brenda Mallatt of Joplin, Lois Kay Spillman (Steve) of Andover, KS, Gaylene Keyser (Hutch) of Galena and Dr. Starla Meigs (Terence) of Cookeville, TN. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lynda Thompson Scholarship Fund in care of the Galena Education Foundation.
